My name is Zachary Melby Jr., founder and creative mind behind I’m A One Of A Kind Chef. I started this brand because of my deep passion for cooking, creating unique recipes, and bringing people together through food. Cooking has always been more than just making meals to me — it’s a form of creativity, self-expression, culture, love, and community.
Although I’m not a classically trained culinary chef, I proudly consider myself a home chef who was trained in my family’s kitchen from the moment I could reach the counter. My mother, grandmother, and grandfather all played a huge role in shaping my love for cooking. Watching them prepare meals, learning family recipes, and experiencing their unique cooking styles inspired me to create my own path in the kitchen.
One thing I learned growing up is that no two people cook the exact same way. Every chef, cook, pit master, baker, or foodie has their own flavor, traditions, techniques, and style that make them different. Whether you learned from culinary school, family members, culture, experience, or simply teaching yourself at home — your cooking journey is unique to you.
